Sunrise Sidebar Launch!

Hi Sunrisers,

We know this has been a tough time and we want you to know that we may be isolated but we are not alone. There is a lot of good work to be done and this newsletter can help you stay connected with the LA Hub. We have provided a calendar of upcoming events and calls to get you plugged into our efforts. We also encourage you to explore the volunteer opportunities all around us from the incredible work of caring and hardworking individuals coming together to combat this crisis.

Angelenos look out for each other!

We at Sunrise really value the power of community, in hard times more than ever. We want to encourage you to reach out to your neighbors in this time of confusion and uncertainty to build strong networks and support each other. We have also planned a lot of fun virtual activities for us to participate in together so please join us for workouts, hangouts, art shares, movie nights and more. This is going to be a hard time for many and we will get through it together. If you need more assistance, please check out the “Resources” section for mutual aid efforts happening around the city. There are some incredible organizers who built impressive infrastructure to support Angelenos as things progress with the COVID-19 situation and the fallout it brings. While practicing self-isolation, you should check out the new Theory Weekly program with readings and weekly discussions where we explore the current conditions in capitalist society, talk about how we got here, and where to go to get to a better future, one with a fair and just transition to a Green New Deal!
